Description

Med-Trans Corporation seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support Emergency Services air medical missions. In this role, you will safely operate helicopters for rapid critical care transport, performing pre-flight planning, weather and risk assessments, and precise VFR/IFR operations. You’ll collaborate closely with flight nurses, paramedics, dispatch, and ground EMS to deliver time-sensitive patient care across diverse environments. Safely operate EMS helicopters for emergent and non-emergent patient transport
Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks in compliance with FAA and company standards
Assess weather, terrain, and operational risks to ensure go/no-go decisions prioritize safety
Collaborate closely with medical crews, dispatch, and ground EMS to coordinate safe, efficient missions
Maintain accurate flight, duty, and maintenance logs and adhere to Part 135 regulations
Participate in ongoing safety, simulation, and CRM training to uphold Med-Trans’ safety-first culture
Support mission readiness, including base checks, briefings, and equipment readiness
Engage in debriefs and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical and aviation outcomes

Instrument Rating – Helicopter
Current Class II (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rotorcraft preferred
Healthcare/air medical flight experience preferred
Night vision goggle (NVG) experience preferred
Part 135 operational experience
Crew Resource Management (CRM) training
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) aviation training
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
