Coffman Associates, Inc. (www.coffmanassociates.com) is a national airport consulting firm specializing in master planning, land use compatibility, environmental assessments, and sustainability planning for airports.  We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Environmental/Sustainability Planner for either our Overland Park, Kansas or Scottsdale, Arizona offices.  Applicant information will be kept strictly confidential.

The selected candidate will assist in data gathering; conduct impact analyses; write sections for CEQA/NEPA documents; assist in preparing permit applications; coordinate with sub-consultants and project team members; and interface with regulatory agencies. Responsibilities could include assisting Project Managers with budget and schedule tracking, along with other project management duties.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have at least a B.A. or B.S. degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in environmental and sustainability planning. The candidate should have direct experience and knowledge of environmental regulations, assisting in research for NEPA and CEQA planning documents, preparing or assisting in preparation of technical sections of NEPA and CEQA planning documents, and knowledge of environmental permits (CWA 404/401, NHPA 106, ESA Section 7). Experience with air quality evaluations, recycling plans, sustainability planning, and preparing technical reports is beneficial.
