The Human Resources Coordinator assists in the areas of Human Resources, Operations, and Administration. This role administers support in the following functional areas: benefits, full- cycle HR recruiting / onboarding, HRIS / timekeeping Database maintenance, administrative / clerical support, and assisting with payroll processing. This position is also responsible for administering the business & leisure travel programs.

REPORTS TO: Director Human Resources & Administration


    • Provides internal and external customer service by answering employee requests and questions on A4A benefits and policies.
    • Assists with recruitment and interview process, including placing ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with reference checks.
    • Prepares new hire paperwork, verifies I-9 documentation, conducts benefits enrollment and policy orientation for all new hires.
    • Processes education verification requests and assists with any employee background checks.
    • Creates new and maintains confidential employee files.
    • Benefits administration to include:
      • Maintenance of eligibility and enrollment.
      • Reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices to payroll deductions and processing invoices for payment.
      • Administering support and maintenance of other HR auxiliary systems such as SmartBenefits, flex spending, and.
      • Conducting audits of various payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.
      • Assist with the annual open enrollment
    • HRIS and timekeeping administration to include:
      • Updates and maintains HRIS & timekeeping databases with employee changes, payroll and benefits updates, and open enrollment changes.
      • Processes employee terminations, including COBRA letters and other benefits termination forms.
      • Administers COBRA program.
    • Administrative and clerical support to include:
      • Administers the employee business & leisure travel program, enrolling employees online and answering any questions. Maintains contact with airline pass bureaus and the Pass Bureau Association and CWT SATO Travel.
      • Maintains HR department calendar.
      • Serve as liaison to Wilco building management and PMI parking management companies.
      • Assists Director Human Resources & Administration and others with various projects as necessary.
      • Assist in management of office services
      • Order supplies for administration and treasury departments.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation and positive Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Able to set priorities, work with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Willingness to help others in the department and association as needed.
  • Good written and oral communication skills one on one and in small groups. Able to summarize and present benefits and other information clearly and accurately.
  • Dependable – consistently at work and on time.
  • Two years’ experience in HR or benefits administration.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Tech-savvy with experience or aptitude for emerging technology is a must.
