The Aviation Sciences Program at Baylor University seeks an outstanding aviation professional at the rank of Lecturer.
Aviation Sciences is a growing and dynamic program at Baylor, and we are looking for a candidate who can augment our capabilities and help us continue our pursuit of excellence in collegiate aviation. This is a full-time lecturer position with responsibilities teaching Aviation Sciences courses beginning Fall 2025. Teaching assignments will include Aviation Ground School and other Aviation-specific courses.
This appointment is a renewable full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused position with a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a 12-year promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates (see: Policy on Full-Time Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, and Teaching Professors at Baylor University).

Requirements
QualificationsMaster’s Degree is preferred, but we will also consider an equivalent combination of experience, training, licenses, and certifications.
Preference will be given to candidates with one of the following certifications: Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) Certificate or Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFI-I).
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Flight or ground instructor certificate or a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating required
Recent operational flight experience is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems is preferred.
